What is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP)?

A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) focuses on balancing six nutritional foundations, through a food-first approach, to support a client in reaching optimal health.  These six foundations are:  a nutrient dense, whole foods diet, hydration, proper digestion, blood sugar regulation, fatty acid balance, and mineral balance.  In addition, an NTP also focuses on various lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress, and movement.  An NTP uses a unique bio-individual approach to tailor nutritional therapy to a client’s specific needs.

How do you conduct your appointments?

All appointments will be held virtually.

Do you recommend supplements?

Yes, I may recommend professional grade whole food supplements, to help you to reach optimal nutrition, however, my goal is for all my clients to maintain optimal nutrition by relying only on a nutrient dense, whole foods diet.

How soon will I see results?

Results are bio-individual.  Some may see results in a manner of days or weeks and for others it may take months.  A good rule of thumb is the amount of time you have been struggling with a particular symptom or condition is about the amount of time it can take to see improvement.

Is this a weight loss program?

This is not a weight loss program, however, once a client is able to bring into balance the six nutritional foundations, they likely will be on a path to meet their weight loss goals and implement other weight loss strategies.
